  • Canon EOS 40D. (Full Spectrum/Clear Conversion with Patented Heat Transfer/Cooling system installed.
  • 2 Exposure composite:
    • 30 Second, ISO 1250.
    • 12 Second, ISO 1250.

Astrophotography Digital Camera Conversions

Spencer's Camera & Photo, the leading provider of Digital Camera Infrared Conversion Services, now provides a unique conversion service specifically for astrophotography.  We calibrate your camera for precise focus at all focal lengths especially at infinity.  Also, we install a specially designed heat transfer/cooling system in your digital camera, drawing heat from the imaging sensor which reduces digital noise effects due to long exposures. 
 
As you may know, digital noise is a very common problem that must be overcome in the world of astrophotography and any long exposure subject.  Sample Image #1 below is an image taken with a Full Spectrum/Clear converted camera with no heat fransfer/cooling system installed.  Sample Image #2 is the same exposure, same ISO/sensativity and the same file size settings but shot with a camera that has our patented heat transfer/cooling system installed.  As you can see the digital noise is lessend by the smaller amount of imaging sensor heat present.

Our patented Heat Transfer/Cooling System is only available for certain cameras including most Canon, Fuji, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony models.  The heat transfer system can be installed along with any conversion type perform by Spencer's Camera & Photo but is limited to certain camera models.  Also, there are no adverse effects to any other functions of the camera.  Please inquire for availability, pricing and order information by email at: info@spencerscamera.com.  (Online ordering will be available soon.)  Also, new and used converted cameras including our Heat Transfer/Cooling System will be available for purchase through our IR Cameras for Sale page soon.
